So tired of my kids being sick!!
I am soo frustrated and starting to feel like I am just a horrible mom! It seems like my kids are always sick! Especially Zander! Ever since August it seems like he constantly has a cold. He will have about two weeks of feeling better and than he is sick again! I do not know what I am doing wrong... I make sure he eats either fruits or vegetables with every meal and he definitely gets plenty to eat. I always dress him warm and when we go out he always wears a coat and hat. When he gets over a cold I wash all of his bedding, sanitize all of his toys and everything he may have touched and still he gets sick over and over again! This last time he was better for 5 days and now his nose is way yucky again. Any one have any advice?? It's so weird.. for the first 10 months of his life he was hardly ever sick and now he spends more time sick than healthy. Thank goodness he is not prone to ear infections or we would really be in trouble!

Hey Stacie! That stinks about Zander being sick! It's so hard especially on the mom. I swear I was excited to find out my kids had strep before Christmas because atleast they could get on an antibiotic and be done- colds can last weeks!
So one thing that I swear by is using saline drops. You can buy them in the pharmacy section and they even have ones specifically for babies. My pediatrician got me hooked. At the first sign of a runny nose or cold, I start using the drops a few times a day. If they do end up getting a cold, I swear the saline drops will cut the time in half.
Wow Thanks Nicole! I have some of those, I use them when I need to suck his nose out but I never thought about putting them in otherwise. I'll have to try that :)
Oh Stacie - I'm sorry about Zander. You have been through a rough winter with him. Ben is still sick and I hate to think of life with him if he had the constant cold that poor little Zander has had to deal with. Try Nicole's suggestion - I'll bet it will help!
Hey does he always have ear infections?? When Gavin was little he was constantly sick all the time going through antibiotics like they were candy. Finally we got tubes in his ears and it was amazing....just a suggestion.
